Breathing Apparatus
Power-ST Breathing Apparatus training program is suitable for those who require, as part of their role to wear breathing apparatus in such environments as a confined space with hazardous gases/vapours, in a toxic atmosphere or in any other application requiring breathing apparatus. Training covers both the operation and maintenance of breathing apparatus in an irrespirable atmosphere.
Course Duration
The course duration varies based on the client needs and expectations. Both Practical and Theoretical (P&T) sessions can accommodate 'Basic' to 'Advanced' standards of training and where necessary can accommodate a chosen number of exercises also involving simulated Confined Space preparation and Entry.

Students are encouraged throughout the breathing apparatus training to develop, participate and apply skills in the safe operation of breathing apparatus. Breathing apparatus training is completed through a combination of theory, practical demonstration, and simulation. Participants of this course will learn how to inspect, don, operate in, remove, clean, maintain and return breathing apparatus to operational status. Throughout the training, students will be exposed to a range of hazards including fire, malfunction of equipment, disorientation, structural hazards and exhaustion of air supply.
On the completion of breathing apparatus training, participants will have developed the skills and knowledge to safely inspect, maintain and operate breathing apparatus as a normal part of their duties at work as well as in emergency situations.
This training is suitable for persons working in any industry including mining, construction, utilities, oil and gas, defence and government. Courses can be conducted for group bookings or at a suitably equipped site as preferred by the client.
